* According to Laura Spinney can you draw historical parallels with other pandemics and what can we learn from how people dealt with pandemics?

* Does globalization make it more difficult to contain?

* How did pandemics destabilize political and social orders and what affect do you think it may have on today?

* What lessons should we draw from history?

2. Presentation: Partners choose a climate change or pandemic in history (not current pandemic). Then compose a 12 slide presentation to be emailed to the instructor (me) on the affects of both the political situation during the time period and the economic one as well.
